Warm Contact Pty Ltd designs and manufactures ground-breaking devices which improves contact lens case hygiene while also increasing the comfort associated with contact lens insertion.
The Company has conducted conclusive research with a world leading vision institute in order to validate, assess and develop its device in two key areas:
- Warm Contact has discovered a simple method to substantially improve contact lens case hygiene by dramatically improving the performance of a multipurpose disinfecting solution, "resulting in a total kill of biofilms” of both Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus (to below detectible levels) in contact lens cases; and
- The Company has also discovered a simple method to improve the comfort of inserting contact lenses into the eye. This simple process reduces lens awareness; reduces lens fitting stress; provides faster visual acuity; lowers corneal touch sensation; improves comfort and reduces the time taken to adapt to wearing contact lenses.
Warm Contact’s device has been developed to deliver tangible benefits to contact lens wearers in the following key areas; by reducing the incidence of eye infections because of poor case hygiene; and by increasing patient comfort during the regular contact lens fitting process.
The Company continues to develop innovative approaches to solving eye care problems which compliment current contact lens and solutions practices while also creating additional value for our partners.
